It also intends to see 7 Days to Die going gold at some point in 2022. The developer has invested in growing its team to become 60 members strong, and assigned 90% of its staff to work on the update for the past year. These dates are tentative and may change, but they might just show that we're getting close to trying out the update ourselves. Although the devs have yet to commit to a fixed release date for 7 Days to Die's Alpha 20, they are hoping to have it out on the experimental branch close to Halloween, with the full launch hopefully arriving later in 2021, as spotted on Reddit.
